Website Maker Quick Start
Your first website does not need to be fancy. Follow this page from top to bottom. Replace the words in [brackets] with your words, swap in your pictures, delete the directions, and publish.
Step 1 — Give Your Website a Home
Start with one all-in-one account so you are not trying to piece five tools together. Open a free Systeme.io account first. You can build the page, host it, collect emails, and add selling tools there as you need them.
Step 2 — Start With the Finished Example
Do not start with a blank page. Look at the finished Website Maker example first. Notice the order: name and promise, one good picture, what you sell or do, one main button, then the basic contact or pickup information.
Use the example as your map. You are not trying to invent a website. You are replacing ours with yours.
Step 3 — Fill In the Top of Your Page
[YOUR BUSINESS OR NAME]
[WHAT YOU SELL, MAKE, TEACH, FIX, OR DO]
[ONE SHORT REASON SOMEONE SHOULD CARE]
Example: Maple Street Preserves — Small-batch jams made close to home with simple ingredients.
Replace the brackets with your words. Keep it short. Delete this example when you are done.
Step 4 — Add One Real Picture
Replace the sample picture with one clear photo of [YOUR PRODUCT / YOUR WORK / YOU DOING THE WORK].
A good phone picture is enough to start. Real is better than fancy.
Step 5 — Show What People Can Get
- [PRODUCT OR SERVICE #1] — [SHORT DESCRIPTION]
- [PRODUCT OR SERVICE #2] — [SHORT DESCRIPTION]
- [PRODUCT OR SERVICE #3] — [SHORT DESCRIPTION]
If you only sell one thing, list one thing. Delete the rest. Do not fill space just because the template has space.
Step 6 — Give Them One Thing to Do
Choose one main button:
[BUY NOW] [BOOK ME] [SEE MY PRODUCTS] [CONTACT ME]
Keep the one that fits. Delete the rest. Connect that button to the place where the customer can actually buy, book, see the offer, or contact you.
Step 7 — Add the Basics and Go Live
- Add [HOW TO CONTACT YOU]
- Add [WHERE YOU SERVE, SHIP, OR OFFER PICKUP]
- Add [HOW PEOPLE ORDER OR PAY]
- Delete every bracket, example, and direction you no longer need
- Open the page on your phone and make sure the words, picture, and button are easy to see
- Tap the main button yourself, then publish
That is a real first website. Get it working before you worry about making it prettier.
After You Publish — Do These 3 Things
- Send the link to three real people and ask: “Can you tell what I do and what to click?”
- Put the link where people already find you — Facebook, a text, your email signature, a local group, or a simple card
- Fix only what confuses people, then keep the page live and improve it as you learn
You do not need a perfect website. You need a clear one that somebody can actually use.
